📌Converse Bank joins Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) technical assistance program for advancing green finance for sustainable development. On May 7, Converse Bank’s Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO, Mr. Grant Akopian, and Mr. Asif Cheema, Director, Private Sector Financial Institutions at ADB, signed the agreement marking the Bank’s participation in the regional technical assistance initiative “Advancing Green Finance for Sustainable Development.” The initiative, led by ADB, aims to foster green banking in Armenia and Georgia through selected financial institutions, contributing to regional economic growth and environmental sustainability. “Green finance is one of our Bank’s strategic priorities. To meet our ambitious goals, we are continuously expanding and deepening partnerships with international financial institutions under our strategy. This agreement with ADB is another important step in that direction. It will enable us to enhance our institutional capacities and offer innovative green solutions to help our clients transition to more sustainable and socially responsible operations,” said Mr. Grant Akopian. As part of the collaboration, Converse Bank will improve its internal procedures and environmental and social risk management systems.
