At Animoca Brands we just published one of the most comprehensive report on "Adoption Opportunities of Stablecoin" - Key takeaways: 🏦 Recent legislation in major economies has accelerated stablecoin adoption, shifting the use from crypto trading and informal economies to regulated financial systems. We identify two key opportunities: "open-source digital wallets" for payments, and "open clearing houses" for settlements. 💵 #Stablecoin digital wallet solutions are easier to build than Web2 wallet companies. By using existing blockchain tech, token standards, and crypto wallets, focusing on stablecoin minting. Retailers, e-commerce, and social networks can promote stablecoins, which could drive digital payment adoption and form "open-source digital wallets." 💳 In credit card-dominated economies, stablecoins could boost digital wallet adoption, capturing market share and impacting card issuers' transaction fee revenues. However, card networks like Visa and processors like Stripe may benefit from handling diverse "currencies," expanding their payment ecosystem role. 🌍 Stablecoins enable "open clearing houses" for money transfers, with on/off ramps and on-chain transfers mimicking traditional bank settlements. Binance is the undisputed giant of crypto trading, holding ~30% of the $30 trillion/year global spot & derivatives market. "Every £1000 of Bitcoin you don't buy today will cost you £190,000 by 2046." Back in June, I had the pleasure of attending BTC Prague and one of the highlights of the event was Michael Saylor's keynote speech. His prediction for Bitcoin's price in 2046: "Bitcoin will grow by 21%, for the next 21 years, to $21,000,000 a coin" Over the past 3 years Bitcoin's CAGR has been 75%. For the past 7 years it's been 50% CAGR. In the last 12 months alone, Bitcoins price has grown by almost 95%! I have to admit, I felt it was quite a bearish prediction at the time, but ultimately the larger the asset grows, the more capital is needed for it to compound at the higher percentage. Anyway, I digress. Lets go with 21%....... $21m is £16m in today's FX conversion Not many people understand the power of compounding. I didn't in my 20's. But there's a reason why Albert Einstein said that compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world. If Bitcoin's price compounds in a modest way that Michael Saylor predicts, every £1000 of Bitcoin bought today, will be worth £190k in 21 years time. Think about that. We are living in a paradigm shift where a new monetary system is being formed. Most people don't see it and those that see it think that we'll somehow fix the current system. They are wrong. There will only be one winner and the foundations have already being laid. It wont be Fiat Currencies It wont be Stablecoins It wont be Ethereum It wont be Gold The winner will be Bitcoin. So with that in mind: That £5,000 holiday you were planning to book is now worth close to £1m. That £200 pair of trainers you didn't need just become a £38k pair. That £30 takeaway at 1am after a night out has effectively cost you £5,700. The world is a tough place for the normal person to succeed financially. The middle class is disappearing and we're seeing a 2-tier system. The current system is designed to keep us poor. Opt out of the nonsense. Stack sats & safeguard your financial future.
