Between 4:52 PM PST and 7:12 PM PST on November 5, 2025, some users experienced issues with several Slack features, including client loading.

We traced this back to an unexpected traffic spike that temporarily overloaded several core Slack services. We implemented mitigation measures to re-stabilize the impacted databases, and full connectivity was restored for all affected users.

We have restored service for all impacted customers. We’re continuing the investigation to more fully understand the cause. With services now restored, this will be the final update for this incident. We apologize for any inconvenience this incident may have caused you or your business.

We are investigating an issue where customers are reporting being unable to connect to Slack services or are receiving errors if they are already connected. We are actively pursuing a number of activities to restore connectivity and services to customers. We will provide an update in 30 minutes or as soon as new information becomes available.
