Cinemagoer is a Python package useful to retrieve and manage the data of the IMDb movie database about movies, people, characters and companies. Platform-independent, it can retrieve data from both the IMDb's web server and a local copy of the whole db.

Flawfinder is a program that examines C source code and reports possible security weaknesses (``flaws'') sorted by risk level. It's very useful for quickly finding and removing some security problems before a program is widely released.

The Fuck is an app that corrects errors in previous console commands. It works by matching these previous commands with a rule. When it finds a match, it creates a new command based on the matched rule and executes this command. It has numerous rules enabled by default, including ones for fixing misspelled commands, fixing wrong commands, spell checking and correcting failed commands, and many, many others. You can also create your own rules and set certain parameters.

SLOCCount is an easy-to-use tool that counts Source Lines of Code (SLOC). It auto-determines the language(s) (inc. C, C++, Ada, Assembly, shell, COBOL, C#, Fortran, Haskell, Java, LISP/Scheme, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, SQL). It also estimates cost & time.

Automation of Unit and System Tests. Tests can be implemented in any language and on many platforms. The flexible approach enables the inclusion of many types of tests, such as memory leak checks (using valgrind), coding rule checks, complexity checks, etc. Tests are run by a simple call to hwut in a base directory of a project. In particular for C, HWUT supports make file generation using 'sos' and 'sols' modes. Remote control-able function stubs may be generated using the 'stub' mode. Test cases can be generated using the 'gen' mode, and state machine walkers by the 'sm_walker' mode. Over the last decade HWUT has matured towards a full fledged unit test tool for a wide variety of applications.

Kanbanara, a web-based Project Management System, uses the Kanban methodology. Started in 2013, the product is already quite well advanced. Sadly JFCUnit is no longer supported but idea is neat and with a few more improvements it can be even more useful tool for regression testing. JFCUnit-2 will have distributed testing, SWT support, JUnit independent and lots of other improvements.

More than just a link checker, sitecheck is a website spider (also known as a crawler) which can assist with SEO by testing an entire site plus both inbound links from search engines and outbound links to other sites for the following issues: looping redirects (HTTP 301/302), broken links (HTTP 404), server errors (HTTP 500), spelling mistakes, low readability scores (using the Flesch Reading Ease test), missing/empty/duplicate meta tags, duplicate content, slow page speed, W3C validation errors and accessibility errors. Sitecheck can also spot some common causes of PCI compliance failure such as insecure content on secure pages, SQL injection/cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities, insecure encryption ciphers and open mail relays.
