Poolpipat Co., Ltd., a Leading Warehouse Business, Takes Significant Step Toward Clean Energy Organization with Continuous Solar System Installation Using ONNEX by SCG Services ONNEX by SCG, a specialist in solar power system installations of all types, announces collaboration with Poolpipat Co., Ltd. in their first project involving a 481.60-kilowatt rooftop solar installation. The rooftop space utilization for solar systems creates added value for existing areas without impacting production processes or building tenants currently using the services, representing a significant advantage. The company is preparing to expand power generation capacity to subsequent installation projects. Mr. Dusit Chairat, Head of Smart Solution Business from ONNEX by SCG, stated that “Beyond ONNEX by SCG’s comprehensive solar system services from surveying, analysis, system design, to government permit applications that we provide to customers according to standards, we have implemented AI technology to analyze energy usage patterns in detail. This provides an overall system picture that truly addresses Poolpipat’s production process needs. Post-installation Operating & Maintenance work holds significant importance. Implementing real-time Monitoring & Maintenance systems not only enables customers to better manage organizational energy but also allows us to continuously verify that installed solar systems maintain full operational efficiency.” Mr. Athitya Pongsittisak, Vice President of Business Development Bureau at Poolpipat Co., Ltd., revealed that “Poolpipat Co., Ltd. has operated comprehensive warehouse and services business for over 60 years, with locations throughout Bangkok and surrounding areas in strategic positions. This locational advantage serves as a crucial element helping customers reduce costs and maximize benefits. We currently have four operational warehouses at Rama 6, Bang Na-Trat KM 38, Samut Prakan, and Ayutthaya, with three additional facilities under construction: two at Laem Chabang to support potential customers in the EEC area, and one at Bang Na-Trat KM 29, which will include Free Zone services, as market demand remains strong with continued development potential. Since warehouse operations require continuous electricity usage, we must strategically manage energy costs. Following our company policy emphasizing growth alongside environmental responsibility, we adopted the Green Warehouse concept to restructure our business for efficient energy use, waste reduction, and promotion of Circular Economy principles for optimal resource utilization. Choosing clean energy through solar system installation represents the easiest and fastest-result action we can take. Post-installation, we can reduce electricity costs by 40-50% monthly during daytime hours, achieving annual electricity savings of 2.3 million baht with a payback period of just four years, or zero electricity costs for up to 30 years.

Transforming SMEs toward a “Low-Carbon Society”: The Challenge That Requires All Forces to Drive Forward – The Success Story of “Pallet Maker Group” Starting with Learning and Understanding The world currently faces extreme climate conditions, serving as a warning signal for everyone to begin adapting toward a “low-carbon society” starting today for long-term survival and sustainable growth. SMEs, which form the foundation of Thailand’s economy, represent a crucial mechanism in the transition to a low-carbon society. For this transformation to truly occur, all sectors must unite their efforts. SCG has collaborated with government agencies, private sector organizations, and partner networks to advance two key projects: the Net Zero Accelerator Program 2026 (NZAP 2026) and the Go Together Season 2 project. These initiatives support SMEs in adapting and enhancing their competitiveness while concretely transitioning to low-carbon business operations. “Pallet Maker Group”: An SME Success Story Pallet Maker Group Co., Ltd., a wooden pallet manufacturer for export, exemplifies the success of SMEs participating in SCG’s NZAP 2026 and Go Together projects. The company has committed to transitioning to low-carbon business operations, which is not merely an option but a long-term survival strategy amid comprehensive challenges. As the world enters an era where carbon becomes a critical indicator, global trade regulations become more stringent, and major clients demand new standards. Uniting Forces through Knowledge Exchange Dr. Chana Poomee, Chief Sustainability Officer, SCG at SCG, summarized: “SCG views SMEs as partners in national development through two projects: the Go Together project for growing together toward a sustainable world, allowing entrepreneurs to observe SCG examples across regions, and the NZAP 2026 curriculum that brings together government, private sector, and even banks. This creates knowledge exchange and transfer, which is extremely important. We firmly believe in the potential of SMEs within Thai industry to transform into crucial engines for Thailand’s economic development and create opportunities for investors to invest in our country.” SCG remains committed to supporting Thai SMEs in their concrete journey toward sustainability. The transition to low-carbon business represents both opportunities and challenges in contemporary business operations. Moreover, this is no longer a distant concern. Through collaborative efforts from all sectors providing comprehensive support including knowledge, funding, and practical adaptation platforms, along with network partnerships, this transformation becomes achievable

Unilever Partners with SCGC to Launch ASEAN’s First ISCC PLUS-Certified Food-Grade Recycled Packaging for “Knorr Professional” Unilever Thailand, a leading global consumer products company, in collaboration with SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a leader in integrated polymer solutions for sustainability, has launched recycled packaging under the Knorr brand for “Knorr Professional” – the first time in ASEAN. The food-grade recycled packaging is developed using advanced recycling technology from SCGC GREEN POLYMER™. This process converts used plastics into circular naphtha feedstock, which is then used to produce new Certified Circular Polyolefin Resins. These resins have properties equivalent to virgin plastics and are certified under the ISCC PLUS standard across the entire supply chain, making SCGC the first in Thailand’s petrochemical industry to achieve this. This certification ensures the packaging can be used safely for food products, free from harmful chemical residues or contaminants that could be hazardous to health or taint the food. This launch marks the first time food packaging produced through an advanced recycling process has been introduced in ASEAN. Unilever has already launched Knorr Professional products featuring this sustainable packaging in Thailand and Vietnam. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of Unilever and SCGC to drive business toward global sustainability in line with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, a business framework that emphasizes environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and good governance to foster sustainable growth. It aligns with Unilever’s goal of using 25% recycled plastic resin in its packaging by 2025 and supports SCGC’s target to return 500,000 tons of used plastic to the circular economy annually by 2030. Chatri Eamsobhana, Chief Commercial Officer of SCG Chemicals (SCGC), said, “SCGC prioritizes developing technology to meet the specific needs of across industries, particularly the food sector with its high safety standards. This partnership with Unilever marks a significant milestone as we leverage our advanced recycling technology. The process, developed by SCGC, uses a catalyst that enables recycling at lower temperatures, reducing energy consumption, being environmentally friendly, and mitigating plastic waste accumulation in the country. This represents the first commercial application of such technology in ASEAN. Certified under the international ISCC PLUS standard across the entire supply chain, this initiative demonstrates tangible technological progress and creates new value from plastic waste without compromising quality or safety. SCGC is the first in the Thai petrochemical industry to receive this certification for the whole supply chain, and this new packaging will help reduce plastic waste by 30,000 kilograms annually.”
