"Birlikte yaratmak ve geliştirmek" felsefesinden yola çıkarak bir dünya üniversitesi olmayı hedefleyen Sabancı Üniversitesi, yönetici eğitiminde pratik ve teorik bilginin, dünyadaki en son gelişmeleri gözeterek, yerel değerlerle birleştirilip uygulanması konusundaki açığı kapatmak üzere 2002 yılında Yönetici Geliştirme Birimi EDU’yu faaliyete geçirdi. Gelişimi bir süreç olarak algılayan eğitim anlayışı ile EDU, kurumların farklı yönetsel yetkinliklerini geliştirmeye yönelik olarak tasarladığı kuruma özel tasarlanan programlarını da aynı anlayış içinde esnek ve modüler bir yapıda sunmaktadır. Her düzeyde profesyonelin kariyer adımlarını hızlandıracak bireysel katılıma açık eğitimlerle de EDU yenilikçi ve özgün yaklaşımıyla kariyer gelişim yolculuğunuzda fark yaratıyor.

Sabancı Üniversitesi ve Yönetici Geliştirme Birimi (EDU) olarak, GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator ortaklığıyla düzenlediğimiz, dört gün süren Öngörülü Liderlik Zirvesi’ni başarıyla tamamladık. Zirvede dört gün boyunca; bilim diplomasisi, çoklu krizler ve fırsatlar, bilimsel öngörü, insanın, toplumun ve gezegenin geleceği, sürdürülebilirlik, kuantum teknolojileri, toplumsal etki ve liderlik gibi konular, dünyadan ve ülkemizden değerli akademisyenler, liderler tarafından tartışıldı. Geleceğe bilim ve teknoloji yön verecek. Sabancı Üniversitesi, EDU olarak liderlerin ve Liderliğin geleceğinde Sabancı Üniversitesi’nin “birlikte yaratmak ve geliştirmek” vizyonuyla çalışmaya devam ediyoruz. ————- As Sabancı Üniversitesi and Executive Development Unit (EDU), we have successfully concluded the four-day Anticipatory Leadership Summit, organized in partnership with GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator. Throughout the four days of the summit, distinguished academics and leaders from Turkey and around the world engaged in insightful discussions on topics such as science diplomacy, polycrises and opportunities, scientific foresight, the future of humanity, society and the planet, sustainability, quantum technologies, social impact, and leadership. Our third Anticipatory Leadership Week is underway in Istanbul with Sabanci University! The Anticipatory Leadership Summit opened Monday - Türkiye’s first gathering of researchers, diplomats, policymakers, and business leaders across energy, health, finance, and tech to prepare for the next 5, 10, 25 years by linking emerging science and technology with the skills and mindset needed to lead through uncertainty and change. 🔹 Introducing GESDA, Stéphane Decoutère presented the GESDA Science Breakthrough Radar® Pulse of Impact, showing how science anticipation can inform long-term strategic planning and innovation in the private sector. He emphasized how GESDA’s Radar aligns with Sabanci University’s forward-looking research agenda - from quantum computing, AI-enabled manufacturing, and semiconductor technologies to the circular economy, biosecurity, and the future of energy. 🔹Marga Gual Soler, PhD introduced GESDA’s approach to Anticipatory Science Diplomacy, emphasizing the growing role for the business and defense sectors in science diplomacy and the shifting geopolitical dynamics requiring new multi-stakeholder frameworks for governance and action, exemplified by the case of OQI – Open Quantum Institute Institute. 🔹GESDA’s Chair of the Diplomacy Forum Enrico Letta captured the spirit of the moment: “Istanbul is uniquely positioned as a bridge between Europe, Asia, and Africa - and Sabancı University, thanks to its distinctive model of academic–industry integration, can instill an anticipatory mindset and scientific literacy across sectors, particularly in the private sector.” This week marks GESDA’s first major initiative in Türkiye, hosted by Sabancı University under the leadership of Founding Chair Güler Sabancı and President Yusuf Leblebici and the incredible team at Sabancı University Executive Development Unit (EDU) Ezgi Akpinar Ozge Ozkan Fatos Aksel Elif Aktas Bayrak Ece Ackerman.
