18 Week Support are the leading insourcing provider to the NHS with clinical demand, capacity management and waiting list initiatives across both outpatients and day case surgery. Insourcing provides your trust with expert clinical teams to work in your department when you have spare capacity, typically weekends, whilst working closely with your in-house teams. We see new patients, including virtual clinics, follow up patients and importantly perform a comprehensive range of day case and some inpatient procedures, including Endoscopy. This allows you to significantly increase your number of patients seen, reducing waiting lists and meeting RTT expectations. All whilst keeping patient treatment within your trust. Yesterday our team at 18 Week Support came together for our Autumn Charity Day in support of Bowel Cancer UK and the British Skin Foundation - and it was a huge success! šŸ’› From pumpkin masterpieces to a fiercely competitive shuffleboard tournament, a bake sale full of talent AND sugar, and a team walk/run challenge to keep us moving - the energy, generosity and team spirit were amazing to see. šŸ™Œ Here are the highlights šŸ‘‡ šŸƒā™€ļø Total miles walked: 70.7 miles šŸ’· Total raised: Ā£336 - to be matched by 18WS for a total of Ā£672 for charity ✨ We also celebrated some standout bakes, pumpkins and shuffleboard moments from across the team. A massive thank you to everyone who took part, baked, walked, donated, dressed up and cheered others on - you made it a brilliant day for two incredible causes. šŸ‘ Extra shoutout to those who helped organise, judge, and decorate - and to everyone who came to the pub after to toast a job well done! šŸ» šŸ“ø Swipe for highlights from the day! Ā  We’re delighted to welcome Dr Minal Patel, Consultant Dermatologist at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and Clinical Lead at Sussex Community Dermatology Services, as our new Clinical Lead for Dermatology. Ā  Dr Patel brings a wealth of experience and passion for excellence in skin health, with specialist expertise in: āœ”ļø Diagnosis and management of skin cancer, inflammatory skin conditions, acne, and rosacea āœ”ļø Expertise in paediatric, hair, and nail dermatology āœ”ļø Extensive experience in teaching and research, having developed specialist education sessions for GPs and medical trainees Ā  A graduate of King’s College London, Dr Patel trained in dermatology on the South Coast and has spent the last nine years dedicated to improving patient outcomes across both hospital and community settings. She is also an active member of the British Association of Dermatologists.
