Every underwater cutting project can present unique sizes, shapes, materials and coating considerations, which is why helping our customers tackle their most demanding subsea cutting challenges safely, efficiently and with confidence, is essential. Recently, Ashtead Technology completed a cutting test using a 42-inch Diamond Wire Saw, successfully handling complex scenarios including pipe-in-pipe and 12” GSPU-coated structures. The tests were completed in under 20 minutes, demonstrating the precision and reliability of our field-proven cutting systems and why selecting the right cutting solution is critical to overall project success. As underwater cutting specialists, our adaptable fleet is designed to deliver reliable, field-proven solutions across a wide range of applications and environments. Ashtead Technology were tasked with creating a solution for the removal of an intersecting pipe from within an offshore caisson, essential to allow installation of a new caisson liner. As the underwater cutting specialists, our team designed, fabricated and delivered a custom cutting system to meet the demands of restricted conditions, no overside access, a tilted caisson and super duplex materials. The remotely operated tool allowed for the intersecting pipe to be removed cleanly and safely.
