📊 When it comes to work preferences, over half of early career starters say they would prefer to work either remotely or hybrid. Of those currently working remotely or in hybrid work, 70% indicate a preference to remain working this way. For those working onsite, the same preferences to maintain current working structures are less strong. Preferred working structures could have wide-reaching implications for the future of work. 🏢 Industries reliant on on-site presence must adapt to the growing preference for hybrid working by offering flexibility, enhancing workplace environments or increasing compensation to attract and retain talent. 🔎 Our research explores the attitudes and workplace expectations of early career starters. Acknowledging how early career experiences have shaped expectations, attitudes and preferences will be fundamental. Our report offers actionable advice for organizations looking to future-proof their talent pool and reshape the career landscape. 💬 “Starting my first job just six weeks before Covid-19 hit meant I was thrown into a fully remote working environment almost immediately, which was a completely uncharted experience for both me and my employer.” Career starters during 2020 were much more likely to have experienced hybrid or remote working than those who entered the workforce prior to the global pandemic. Previously, remote and hybrid work patterns were relatively uncommon. The pandemic was a shock to the system for all, but especially new career entrants. While the proportion of new career starters in remote or hybrid work has dropped away, it hasn't reverted to pre-pandemic levels. 🔎 Our report explores how organizations can best shape the workplace in a way that supports career starters, and all workers, to unleash their full potential – however they work. With actionable insights to help employers accommodate the needs of all workers, our goal is to build a future of work that suits individual and organizational needs alike. Business leaders are confident that the workforce is well equipped to navigate the disruptions of AI⚡🧠 Our latest research found that 56% are confident their entry level workforce has the skills needed to use AI, and 57% say their entire organization currently possesses the necessary skills to effectively use AI tools in their daily tasks. However, just 34% have a learning and development programme to ensure successful delivery of AI training. Is the 'fear' around AI a higher priority than actually building the capacity to respond to it? 🍽️ The food sector is facing unprecedented pressure. From farms to factories to retailers, organizations are expected to uphold labour rights, ensure food safety, and prove transparency at every stage of the supply chain. The risks are real: ⚠️ $236 billion generated each year in illegal profits from forced labour. ⚠️ 600 million people fall ill annually from contaminated food. It’s no longer enough to say you care - regulators, consumers, and stakeholders want proof. 📖 Our new ISA Food Brochure explores how stronger internal and supplier audits can help you: ✔ Safeguard workers’ rights ✔ Strengthen food safety compliance ✔ Protect your customers and brand reputation Download here: https://lnkd.in/eGSeirXP #BSI #FoodSafety #SupplyChainTransparency #Sustainability #SocialPerformance #ISA

💙 BSI’s Future of Work: Lifting the Second Glass Ceiling report reveals that many women in healthcare still don’t feel specific needs are being met. 📊Specifically, 62% of women in healthcare say they have never heard their employer talk proactively about menopause support, and 48% would feel uncomfortable raising menopause issues with a male line manager Despite being an industry focused on helping others, it seems healthcare workers facing female-specific health issues are not always comfortable or able to find the help they need. Unfortunately, these problems can lead to women leaving the workforce early. If healthcare organizations can normalise these discussions, introduce clear policies, and ensure managers are equipped to respond with empathy, the benefits go far beyond retention. It builds a culture of trust – essential for both staff wellbeing and quality of patient care. 💡Find out more in our new report: 'Future of Work: Lifting the Second Glass Ceiling': https://lnkd.in/eJDnT9md #FutureOfWork #Healthcare #WorkforceRetention #WomenInHealthcare #EmployeeWellbeing #FlexibleWork #CaringResponsibilities #MenopauseAtWork
