  • This November is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Across many cultures, men are frequently taught to stay silent about their emotional struggles. The result can be devastating: many men find it harder to reach out for help when dealing with mental health issues, and rates of suicide remain 3 times higher for men than women. We need to break the cycle of silence, have conversations that might save lives, and remind ourselves that strength comes from asking for and giving support. By raising awareness, we can encourage healthier ways of coping and build environments where men feel supported and understood. #TeamCompass #MensMentalHealth

  • For those living with treatment-resistant depression, the weight of illness is daily, persistent, and often invisible. Too many people cycle through therapies without relief, while time, energy, and hope slip away, and the risk of suicide increases as early as after the first treatment failure. This is not a marginal issue; it is a defining challenge in mental health. Addressing TRD is an urgent need in mental health care. At Compass, we look forward to contributing to this work and potentially increasing access to care for all those in need. #TeamCompass

  • On World Mental Health Day, everyone deserves a support system and access to the resources they need to thrive. It's time to combat the stigma against mental illness at your workplace. The more openly we talk about mental health, the stronger our homes, communities and workplaces become. When people feel safe to share their experiences, ask for help, and support one another, we all rise together. So let’s take a moment today to check on your colleagues and loved ones and be honest with them about how you’re feeling, too. Every open conversation brings us closer to removing stigma from mental health. #WorldMentalHealthDay #TeamCompass

  • Mental health challenges do not discriminate. They can affect any of us, no matter our role, accomplishments, or outward appearance. Too frequently, the weight of these challenges is carried in silence. That's why awareness matters: it reminds us that behind every email, every meeting, every "I'm fine", there might be a deeper story...and sometimes what makes the biggest difference is leading with compassion. This week, let's continue normalizing conversations about mental health and encouraging those who need it to seek support without shame. If you're going through a difficult season, please know you are not alone, and if you're supporting someone else, your care truly matters. Let's create a culture where we acknowledge the challenges so many face, and work to overcome obstacles together. #TeamCompass #MIAW

  • Despite progress in mental health care, too many people living with trauma still face silence, stigma, and barriers to care. Individuals living with PTSD frequently experience comorbid mental health conditions, most commonly depression, anxiety disorders & substance use disorders, as well as a significantly increased risk of suicide. These overlapping conditions can intensify distress and complicate treatment. PTSD must be a priority in the field of mental health care. That means advancing evidence-based treatments, scaling access, and embracing innovation with the same urgency we would for any public health crisis. At Compass, we are working to reimagine the future of mental health, where PTSD can be met with urgency, compassion and humanity. #TeamCompass

  • On World Suicide Prevention Day, it is important to reflect on the profound impact of suicide and the ongoing challenges faced by those living with mental illness. These challenges are often invisible but deeply felt. Behind each statistic is a story of struggle, resilience, and the need for greater compassion and support. At Compass, we are committed to helping advance research and potential solutions that can bring hope and improve access to mental health care. It is crucially important to reduce stigma and work toward a future where fewer lives are lost to suicide. If you or someone you know is in crisis, help is available.
