For the past few years, there’s been one particularly consistent trend from Nielsen’s monthly ‘The Gauge’ reports, which measure the share of total US TV set viewing which is captured by each individual streaming service. While the majority of services have seen their share wax and wane – trending towards growth in 2024 but largely tailing off this year – YouTube has marched inexorably onward.
