💰 LGBTQ+ mental health provider Allswell has raised $1.3 million in pre-seed funding led by Amboy Street Ventures, with participation from Seae Ventures’ Unseen Capital, Techstars and other investors. The company, founded in 2024, offers virtual therapy specifically designed for LGBTQ+ adults and currently operates in Maryland. Allswell plans to use the funding to expand into additional states, develop digital tools and grow its therapist network. The startup plans to expand to the entire DMV region in early 2026. 🚀 💬 “We really just saw a lack of options in particular for LGBTQ adults. What we noticed is that a lot of mental health programs aren’t really thinking about LGBTQ, if they’re targeting adults.” Dawn Androphy, Co-founder & CEO of Allswell 👉 Full story: https://lnkd.in/gvGQVPs5 #health #healthcare #healthcareinnovation #mentalhealth #healthequity #lgbtqhealth #startup #investment #preseed #investor #vc #venturecapital

🚽 Connected health company Withings has launched U-Scan, an at-home urine analysis device that integrates into toilets to provide continuous health monitoring. The device is now available in Europe and the United States, following more than seven years of research and development. U-Scan fits inside the toilet and automatically collects urine samples using a thermal sensor. The device analyzes samples on-site using biochemical sensors integrated into an interchangeable cartridge. Results are processed directly on the device and transmitted via Wi-Fi to the Withings app within minutes. 📱 💬 “The story of U-Scan began with a simple intuition: urine provides a precise and comprehensive window into our health. The challenge was to transform that insight into a laboratory so compact it could be integrated directly into a toilet- without changing anyone’s habits.” Eric CARREEL, Founder & Chairman of Withings 👉 Full story: https://lnkd.in/gYY3Be-p #healthtech #medtech #biomarker #launch #consumerhealth #kidneyhealth #nutrition

💍 ŌURA has published findings from one of the largest longitudinal analyses of pregnancy-related physiological changes, using data from more than 10,000 pregnancies tracked with Oura Ring. The study, published in JMIR Publications mHealth and Uhealth, examined how key health metrics evolve from preconception through pregnancy and postpartum. The research analyzed anonymized data from Oura Ring Gen3 users who self-reported pregnancies between May 2023 and November 2024. The dataset included 5,039 term births, 324 preterm births, and 4,955 pregnancies ending in loss before 20 weeks of gestation. 🤰 💬 “It may seem surprising, but this research is one of the few papers that even begins to describe what is considered normal for a pregnancy. What is exciting about this science is that once we establish and validate what a healthy baseline is, we can explore the patterns that may be linked to risk of diseases.” Chris Curry, ŌURA's Clinical Director of Women's Health 👉 Full story: https://lnkd.in/gb5VBF8j #femtech #womenshealth #womenshealthinnovation #health #healthcare #healthtech #digitalhealth #healthcareinnovation #wearables #maternalhealth #pregnancy #data #research

The company now offers the treatment in 12 states, with plans for nationwide expansion as state regulations permit. The service provides access to a topical cream formulation designed for women, delivered through clinician-led care with personalized dosing. 👩⚕️ 💬 “The fact there’s still no FDA-approved option for women in the U.S. is a glaring inequity that leaves millions suffering in silence.
