Today the FRC announced the immediate withdrawal of ASORP 1: Financial Analysis of Social Security Programmes. This move streamlines the regulatory framework and eases the compliance burden for practitioners while upholding the high standards expected of actuarial work. ASORP 1’s provisions are now covered under the updated Technical Actuarial Standard (TAS) 100. Learn more: https://ow.ly/262550XgLMZ #actuarial

If you are involved in the production or oversight of annual reports, sustainability reporting, or investor communications we want to hear from you! The FRC has commissioned research from Lancaster University Management School into how AI and other disruptive technologies (AITECH) are being adopted by UK Public Interest Entities (PIEs). The research is looking at AI tool usage, benefits, barriers and governance adaptations in reporting. Confidential interviews will run until December 2025 and a survey will be launched in late November.
