Let's bring it back home to celebrate Black History Month🙌 Have you ever heard of The Fifth Pan-African Congress? Well in Manchester in 1945 a meeting happened in Manchester uniting Black leaders from Africa, the Caribbean, America, and Britain. Led by W.E.B. Du Bois and others, it demanded freedom from colonial rule and racial injustice. Its powerful ideas inspired African independence movements and strengthened global Black unity. This meeting is a core event that changed African heritage within the UK forever and it originated from the heart of Manchester; we are proud to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the congress and we hope you are too👏

After qualifying as a Civil and Structural Engineer, she launched her career at EWCE in 1995. Over three decades, Diane's leadership and strategic planning skills led her through various roles, including Project & Contracts Manager, ultimately leading her to become Managing Director of Eric Wright Civil Engineering and the Technical Director for the Group. As a board director, she oversees quality and compliance, environmental management and social value across the entire Eric Wright Group. Diane is deeply committed to inspiring the next generation of civil engineers, serving as Chair of the Eric Wright Learning Foundation and a Governor at Runshaw College.
