𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 2025–2035 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 We’re pleased to share that Hampshire County Council has adopted the refreshed Countryside Access Plan (CAP), setting out a strategic and forward-looking vision for public rights of way and countryside access across Hampshire. The plan focuses on accessibility, connectivity, climate resilience, nature, and partnership working. The plan introduces four new focus areas: • 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 – Integrating countryside access into development and infrastructure planning. • 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 & 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 – Promoting the benefits of nature for physical and mental health. • 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥 – Tackling barriers to ensure inclusive access for everyone. • 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 & 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – Responding to environmental challenges and supporting nature recovery.
