We'd like to thank and Congratulate our friends at Dawsons Swansea Estate Agents & Dawsons Training Wales for teaming up with Heartbeat Trust UK to offer free defibrillator and CPR training to the people of Swansea on #RestartAHeartDay last Thursday. We were proud to light up in red in support of the #RestartAHeartDay campaign, which encourages people of all ages to learn CPR so they can give someone suffering from a cardiac arrest the best chance of survival, and promotes people familiarising themselves with where defibrillators are in their local area. We have a defibrillator at Reception and have First Aid trained staff in the hotel on every shift and at all times of the day and night. All welcome! We'll be serving hot drinks and cakes and will have a few pins and wristbands for sale from Breast Cancer Now, with all funds being donated to this important charity! We've been lighting up in pink and blue for #BabyLossAwarenessWeek over the last few days, after a request from a local baby loss support group. Baby loss can be so difficult for families to talk about, but there are many charities and organisations out there that can help people through their very sad loss. We're sending love to all those affected by these very sad circumstances. 🩷💙

We were also so proud this week when a bride popped into the hotel to give our events team a card and a box of chocolates to say thank you for going 'above and beyond' in their roles as Wedding Coordinators and being there for the bride and groom through every step of the wedding planning process and on the big day itself! Our amazing events team Rachel Morgan and Sophie Williams work so hard on all our in-house events and private parties every week - but they're especially dedicated to weddings and really pride themselves on bringing couples' perfect weddings to life! ❤️

It's back to normal in Swansea today, after our senior management team had a wonderful two days in London attending the Independent Hotel Show London and Independent Hotel Show Awards at the Olympia and the Boutique Hotelier Awards 2025 at Royal Lancaster London! 🏆 We had a wonderful time exploring the stalls and stands at the Independent Hotel Show and finding out about a huge range of products and services - and it was wonderful to see our Head of Accommodation Aaron Collier recognised as a Finalist in the "Hotel Rising Star" award at the Independent Hotel Show Awards. Later, we had an incredible evening at the Boutique Hotelier Awards where our Reception Team were finalists in the Team of The Year category and our Head of Housekeeping, Klaudia Malenczyk was a finalist in the Unsung Hero of The Year category. We were so proud to be recognised as finalists - but to come away with a win absolutely blew out minds! We are so proud to say our marvellous Reception Team were named Team of The Year! The award was sponsored by Access Hospitality and presented to us by their EMEA, James Cannon. Announcing our win, award hosts Eamonn Crowe and Zoe Monk said our team "epitomises what it means to go above and beyond for their guests -No task is too big and no ask is too small. Kate had an amazing time 'locked up' by the charity and absolutely smashed the £1,000 fundraising target, raising a brilliant £2,940!
