Today, we have released a landmark technical result demonstrating the world’s highest two-qubit gate performance with fidelity exceeding 99.99%! 🎉 As the first and only quantum computing company to cross the ‘four-nines’ benchmark, this new world record represents a critical milestone that underpins our accelerated roadmap with IonQ. By engineering qubits with record-level fidelity, we have now achieved the hardware performance required to scale to millions of qubits. Record quantum performance unlocks a few major advantages: ✅ Error-corrected performance improves dramatically ✅ Complex, breakthrough use cases can be addressed ✅ Products can be delivered faster This result was achieved on prototypes which will form the basis of our 256-qubit systems. Leveraging Electronic Qubit Control, these devices integrate all qubit control components onto classical semiconductor chips – meaning we can mass-manufacture these devices through the existing semiconductor supply chain. 👉 For more on today’s announcement, read the press release here: https://lnkd.in/ecdgFgM2 👉 For all of the technical details behind the result, read our paper posted to arXiv here: https://lnkd.in/eVK8wiUC
