    🍦 Private equity innovation in action: PAI’s €3.6bn Froneri restructuring 🍦 PAI Partners has completed a €3.6 billion equity transaction to restructure its ownership in Froneri, the global ice cream powerhouse it co-owns with Nestlé! As part of the transaction, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) joins as a significant minority investor alongside a continuation vehicle led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives - one of the largest of its kind in Europe. With €5.5bn in annual revenues across 25 markets, Froneri has become a rare success story of private equity in branded consumer goods, scaling from a regional ice cream manufacturer into a global powerhouse. Commenting on the news, co-managing partner at PAI Partners Frédéric Stevenin said: “Froneri is a clear example of PAI’s ability to create and grow global champions in the consumer sector. Since we first partnered with Nestlé in 2016, the business has successfully expanded into new markets, strengthened its branded portfolio and established itself as a global leader.” This feels like another sign of how private equity is changing pace, less about quick exits, more about building on proven success.     Sysco has agreed a £54m deal to purchase Fairfax Meadow, one of the UK’s best-known catering butchers, from Hilton Foods. Fairfax Meadow will continue to operate under its own brand and leadership, while Sysco strengthens its position in fresh meat manufacturing. 🔎 My take: This deal highlights two major themes in food manufacturing right now – portfolio simplification to sharpen strategic focus, and consolidation in key categories like meat to build scale and resilience.
