The Savills Rural Utilities and Infrastructure team recently attended the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) Awards and took home two awards in the categories of Make it Happen and Find a Better Way. 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲: 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 – 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 £1𝐌 This Highly Commended Award was presented to the team on the WMEL Project (Weston Marsh to East Leicestershire Development Consent Order). This represents the team’s first DCO award by National Grid. Though the project is in extremely early stages, the team was commended for their exceptional work so far, with a further four years of work ahead. 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲: 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐲 – 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 This Highly Commended Award was presented to the team for the creation and purpose of the Josh Travies Innovation Award. 🟨 Global charity initiatives from the past month 🟨 ⛳ Savills sponsored the 1st & 10th holes at the Playskill Golf Day 2025. Just over £30,000 was raised for the charity which supports children with physical disabilities and provides consistent, compassionate, and accessible help, ensuring families feel supported and empowered in their journey. 🎨 As part of the Savills Deutschland Social Day, the Cologne team was able to support the CJG Kinder & Jugendhilfe St. Josef. With paint, brushes and a lot of team spirit, the team pitched in to make a small contribution to a better environment for the children and young people. 🚶 Savills Hong Kong colleagues joined the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth (HKFHY) “Joy Charity Walk 2025”, both in-person and virtually. Their participation reflects an ongoing commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and community impact.
