  • Noemi Smolik interviews Andreas Gursky for Frieze writing: 'Like the thrum of techno, this sense of endless repetition in Gursky’s constructed pictures suggests moments of ecstasy.’ Join us for a Frieze late-night opening tonight (Tuesday 14 October) from 6–8pm or visit the exhibition until 8 November 2025. This exhibition unveils new photographs that extend his investigations into contemporary culture, alongside a series of ‘chrono capsule’ works, in which the artist returns to the sites of his earlier pictures to document the passage of time and the imprint of ecological and sociopolitical change. • Read Artnet’s round-up of The Armory Show in New York, featuring White Cube’s return to the fair for the first time since the 1990s. As our US Managing Director, Courtney Willis Blair, notes of The Armory Show and its leader Kyla McMillan's vision: “It is exciting to see her at the helm of such a historic fair in New York’s landscape […] balancing established and emerging voices, and highlighting a diversity of perspectives, feels particularly aligned to White Cube’s current priorities.” https://lnkd.in/eZr6Z8F3 #ArmoryShow2025 #WhiteCube

  • Visit White Cube's booth at The Armory Show to experience a solo presentation by artist-duo TARWUK. The presentation includes new painting and sculpture conceived for this occasion. New paintings explore formal cinematic elements—composition, framing, and point of view. Monochromatic plaster sculptures with handmade fabric elements appear as costumed mannequins and theatrical mise-en-scènes. Visit booth 105 until 7 September 2025 or view the presentation online: https://lnkd.in/dpDHTzpa

  • Now Open: Antony Gormley: 'INEXTRICABLE’ Conceived as a two-part exhibition presented across White Cube and Thaddaeus Ropac, Antony Gormley’s solo exhibition ‘Inextricable’ infiltrates the public realm and its inner shelter to interrogate the entanglement between humanity and the city. Marking the artist’s first solo presentation in Seoul, the exhibition opens at a time when more than half the global population lives within the urban grid. Positioned as both reflection and provocation, the exhibition is a test site, talking directly to the materials and methods of the city and creating a resonance between the space of the body and its surroundings. ‘Inextricable’ is on view at White Cube Seoul until 18 October 2025. • ‘Alien Shores’, curated by Susanna Greeves, is on view at White Cube Bermondsey. Across painting, video, photography and sculpture, the exhibition explores landscape as a place of memory, imagination, yearning and belonging. The exhibiting artists offer speculative, symbolic or surreal depictions of emotional terrain and voyages of the imagination, as well as visions of the distant past or possible futures. The exhibition’s title is borrowed from the Latin poet Petronius, who encourages the reader to ‘seek out alien shores [...] he who disembarks on distant sands, becomes thereby the greater man’. ‘Alien Shores’ is on view at White Cube Bermondsey until 7 September 2025.
