Hey LinkedIn, it's been a while but we are out with a MASSIVE update! A few things I’m personally excited about: - The regenerate tool now has a similarity slider. You decide how close the AI should stay to your original design, or how far it should push new variations. - Targeted edits now have a medium mode. Perfect when you want bigger changes — like switching stone shapes or boosting sparkle — without losing the essence of the piece. - Backgrounds got a new “Model Mode.” You drop in your design and get realistic, moody model shots automatically, with zero effort (and if you want, zero prompting!). - Technicals utility (still in beta) can produce a technical sketch of the design based on basic information! - List mode in the projects page along with advanced search modes makes it easier to manage a large database of designs. - Upscale utility to generate higher resolution images from AI generations for use in social media. - Longer videos (10s) with better prompt adherance! - A new accompanying CAD Compressor utility that produces 25x lossless compression on CAD files for rendering efficiently on the web (more on this soon). - And for the first time, we’ve introduced AI-driven valuations: weights, stone counts, etc. estimated instantly (also still in beta). This is a FEATURE-PACKED update. Excited for folks to try it out and send in their feedback!

Kickscale went from blending in to standing out. After months of hard work, we finally launched their website in Webflow. We started by tearing down their old Wix website from scratch. Refreshed the brand with clean typography, kept their existing colors. But our real challenge? Combine brand with strategic messaging. We had to position them clearly against competitors. Make their differentiation obvious to prospects browsing their site for 30 seconds. Then came the execution: → Positioning & messaging workshop to define their USPs and brand promise → Website strategy with conversion-focused architecture and navigation → Copy that builds trust and drives action → Visual design with custom illustrations and animations → Modular Webflow development plus team training for future updates One painful lesson: vendor lock-in is real. Wix doesn't let you export blog posts. Had to manually recreate every single one in Webflow. Working with the Kickscale team was genuinely great. Thank you Gerald, Jin Soon and Markus for the collaboration on this one. We are already planning the next phase - new landing pages and sections coming soon. Here's what I learned from this project... Most SaaS websites fail because they try to say everything and end up saying nothing. The new site? Picks one main message. Hammers it home. Makes the value obvious within seconds and builds trust with showcasing testimonials across the whole page. When prospects land on your website, they're not studying every word. They're scanning for relevance. Make it easy for them to understand why you exist. What do you think of their new website?

Most agencies use their hero to show their portfolio. We tried something different. Instead of just showing our work, we split the hero into two clear paths: - Ongoing support for design and dev - One-off projects for branding and webflow sites Because when someone lands on your site, they’re deciding whether to engage with you or not. And decision friction kills conversions. This layout helps visitors instantly see where they fit, builds trust fast, and generates enquiries.

Your website looks amazing But no one’s clicking. No one’s buying. That’s a problem. Here’s the brutal truth: A pretty site without clear CTAs is just digital wallpaper. Nice to look at. Useless for conversions. Without it? People get confused. And confused users leave. Great CTAs do the heavy lifting: -Guide the journey -Reduce friction -Turn browsers into buyers Think of your website as a map. CTAs are the arrows. No arrows = no destination = no sales. Wanna make your CTAs actually work? -Use verbs: “Download Now”, “Let’s Talk”, “Start for Free” -Make buttons pop (This pop word makes me laugh:p) -Keep it short & sharp P.S. CTAs may be small—but they’re strong. Fixing yours could instantly boost your signups, sales, and trust.

Last week I watched a 30-second OneDrive promo. I’ve used the product for years… but in that half minute, it suddenly felt premium. Not because of features. Because of how it moved. A button that eased in instead of snapping. A logo that breathed instead of blinking. A transition that guided my eye instead of dumping data. That’s when it hit me— Your SaaS isn’t losing to competitors. It’s losing to brands that breathe when you click. These micro-animations aren’t decoration. They’re psychology. They whisper: “This brand sweats the details.” And when users sense that, they make a leap of faith— “If they cared about this, they must have cared about everything else.” That leap = trust. Trust = premium. At Ossian Design Lab, we’ve built systems, dashboards, brand clarity. But motion? That’s the missing circle. Why Webflow still isn’t clicking for you (and it’s not what you think) 🤔 Okay, real talk time. I’ve been watching people struggle with Webflow for years now, and honestly? It’s painful to watch. Not because Webflow is hard (it’s not), but because of what you’re doing BEFORE you even open it. 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹-𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. Monday: “Framer looks amazing!” Wednesday: “Actually, maybe WordPress is better” Friday: “Wait, what’s this new tool everyone’s talking about?” Sound familiar? 😅 I was EXACTLY the same. Spent my first year bouncing between every tool that had a nice landing page. Want to know what I had to show for it? Nothing. 0 clients. 0 expertise. Just a bunch of half-finished tutorials and a serious case of imposter syndrome. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱. I was at my computer one random Tuesday, frustrated as hell, and I literally said out loud: “Sebastian, pick ONE tool and stick with it for a full year.” That tool was Webflow. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁: Month 1-3: Still sucked, but I was consistently sucking at ONE thing Month 4-6: Started seeing patterns, things clicked faster Month 7-12: Built my first real client projects Month 13-18: People started asking ME for advice 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗜’𝗺 𝗮 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀. But here’s the kicker - it wasn’t because I’m some genius. It’s because I stopped jumping around like a caffeinated squirrel. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵? Every tool takes 6 months to not feel lost. Every tool takes 12 months to build something decent. Every tool takes 18+ months to become someone others trust. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆. I know it’s tempting. I see you in those Discord servers asking “which tool should I learn?” every other week. But clients don’t hire tool-hoppers. They hire EXPERTS. 𝗦𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: Pick your tool. Set a timer for 365 days. Don’t even LOOK at other tools during that time. I promise you’ll be shocked at where you end up. "Webflow or Framer?" 👆 A question I get asked A LOT I could tell you all about how Webflow is the only smart choice and how you would be silly if you chose to build your site anywhere else But the truth is: The answer is going to come from you being honest with yourself, your team, and considering the season you're in. Framer feels like a beautiful studio apartment. - You can move in tonight. - Throw a few posters on the wall. - Make it look incredible in a weekend. - Perfect for where you are right now. But like most studio apartments… Eventually, it starts to feel a little cramped. Because it wasn’t designed for long-term infrastructure. When your business gets more complex. When your content needs to multiply. When you need control over structure, performance, SEO, etc. Webflow is more like building a custom home. - You don’t finish it in a weekend. - You think about the foundation. - You make sure things like the plumbing are done right. - You build a structure that can support your future. But like most custom homes… It’s a bigger investment. It takes longer to iron out the details. And you'll probably need a professional to help. Don't focus on which platform is “cooler.” Focus on being realistic: → What season are you in? → What do you need your site to do? → What’s going to serve you 12 months from now (not just today)? There’s no shame in choosing short-term if that’s what you can handle. And there’s no trophy for overbuilding something you can’t maintain. Just make sure the decision aligns with where you’re going. Not just where you are. (PS. We build in Webflow and I appreciate Framer for what they're trying to do. If your product improves people’s lives, your website should prove it. A benefit-driven homepage focuses on outcomes and connects what you sell to what your customers actually want to feel or achieve. Think AG1, Hims, Ritual, Oura, and Whoop. Benefit-driven brands that sell a better version of you, not just another product.

This new AI tool will be game-changing for how we work with freelancers. I spoke recently at a Fiverr event with their CEO Micha Kaufman about their new product Fiverr Go where every freelancer has their own AI model that they train to produce work like them in their own unique, distinctive style. This applies for 60 different types of work, voice over artists, web design and so much more. The public can then buy that work off the freelancer’s AI model. This means the creator should probably focus on training their model to do work in their style, versus doing all of the work themselves. It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time, and for freelancers and small businesses this will create a wild paradigm shift. But probably the future.
