Printing the Past: Innovative Technology in Archaeology at FSU

I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Nancy de Grummond and a team of graduate students from the Florida State University Classics department on an innovative museum exhibition. Dr. de Grummond endeavors on an archaeology dig every summer in Cetamura del Chianti in Italy, and is opening a museum in Chianti for the artifacts found. I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Nancy de Grummond and a team of graduate students from the Florida State University Classics department on an innovative museum exhibition. Dr. de Grummond endeavors on an archaeology dig every summer in Cetamura del Chianti in Italy, and is opening a museum in Chianti for the artifacts found. As part of world Archaeology month, the classics department in tandem with Archaeology club created 3D models from the sketches and data collected from the artifact and then 3D printed these artifacts. Additionally, the topography team used Adobe Illustrator to construct a topographical model of the hill at Cetamura and laser cut the hill into wood. We then 3D printed the various excavated walls from the site and placed them correspondingly onto the hill.

I’m passionate about championing women's empowerment and gender equity, both within our business and the financial services industry.
In 2023, I launched the #SheLeads campaign, inspired by the Alison Rose Review, to support female entrepreneurs and showcase their journeys. Through video interviews with pioneering women, we highlighted their challenges and successes, bringing much-needed visibility to women-led businesses.
The campaign, promoted across our website, social media…I’m passionate about championing women's empowerment and gender equity, both within our business and the financial services industry.
In 2023, I launched the #SheLeads campaign, inspired by the Alison Rose Review, to support female entrepreneurs and showcase their journeys. Through video interviews with pioneering women, we highlighted their challenges and successes, bringing much-needed visibility to women-led businesses.
The campaign, promoted across our website, social media, and PR, gained significant traction. It was picked up by the Investing in Women hub and presented to government ministers. Within six weeks, #SheLeads generated over 380,000 impressions and 800 hours of video views. More importantly, we saw a 7% increase in women-led businesses applying for finance with us.
The campaign also led to an internal review of our underwriting processes. Using our Rev&U™ AI system, we examined potential biases in funding women-led businesses. While there was no bias in funding amounts, we found that women were less likely to persist if underwriting challenges arose. To address this, we implemented team training and data-driven initiatives to support women through the process.
Beyond #SheLeads, I’ve led diversity, inclusion, and mental health initiatives at 365 finance. As head of the 'S' in ESG, I’ve launched Employer Supported Volunteering days, sourcing charity opportunities for staff, and raised awareness of cultural events like International Women’s Day, Ramadan, and Black History Month, fostering inclusivity across the company.
During Mental Health Awareness Week, I organised a range of activities, including therapy talks, arts and crafts, and a monthly yoga class to support employee wellbeing.
I also co-created the "Putts for Purpose" charity golf day, raising funds for the Little Rascals Foundation. The event helped build a new sensory room for children with special needs, making a meaningful impact within our community. -

The campaign spotlights five pioneering female entrepreneurs: Kathryn Strachan, Katie Cope, Karolina Ba, Bridget Greenwood, and Dr Amber Ghaddar. Through video interviews, they share their challenges…In December 2023, we launched the #SheLeads campaign, inspired by the Alison Rose Review. This initiative aims to empower women in entrepreneurship by encouraging them to start and grow their businesses, and providing them with funding when traditional financial institutions fall short.
The campaign spotlights five pioneering female entrepreneurs: Kathryn Strachan, Katie Cope, Karolina Ba, Bridget Greenwood, and Dr Amber Ghaddar. Through video interviews, they share their challenges, triumphs, and journeys as female business leaders.
The campaign followed an omnichannel approach, integrating our website, social media platforms, email, and PR. It was picked up by the Investing in Women hub and presented to government ministers and the APPG on Women in Finance.
In the first six weeks, the campaign generated over 380,000 impressions and 800 hours of video views, with our YouTube subscribers increasing from 186 to 4,300.
We also conducted an internal review of our underwriting processes, using our Rev&U™ AI underwriting system to assess potential biases in funding female-led businesses. While we found no bias in funding amounts, we did notice that women were less likely to return if underwriting concerns arose. To address this, we implemented training and data projects to better support women during the underwriting process.
Though it’s early, we’ve seen a 7% increase in applications from women-led businesses, growing faster than male-led applications. This reflects the positive reception of #SheLeads.
Internally, the #SheLeads campaign has also celebrated the women in our business, showcasing leaders across departments such as underwriting, renewals, collections, legal, and data. We’re proud that our management team is evenly split male/female, and that our gender pay gap is below 10%, far below the fintech average.
