We found over £25k of marketing waste for a client. Earlier this week, I mentioned that we've been working with clients on brand audits — and why we consider them so valuable in today's climate. One recent example stands out. We reviewed a client's campaign activity, looking at the results they were getting versus the expected results. What we found was a £25k annual spend that wasn't delivering. Not because of one big mistake, but because there was no clear strategy. Lots of noise, but no direction. One of the biggest things we hear from new clients is how hard it was to get a response from their previous agency. Sometimes it took days to hear back. Sometimes they were stuck in a support ticket system that felt like shouting into the void. And when they did get a reply, it came from someone different every time—someone who didn’t know their site, their business, or their goals. That’s not how we work. Don’t build a website just for the sake of having one. Because a site that just exists is worse than having no site at all. It makes you look busy, but it doesn’t win you clients. I recently reviewed David Gibbs website (a brilliant financial coach), and here’s what I saw in his hero section: The problem: → A huge logo eating up half the screen. → Barebones navigation (Home, About) no clear direction. → A generic headline that didn’t show real results. → Weak CTA: “Learn more” → left visitors hanging. The fix: → A headline + subheadline that show value in seconds. → Proof and achievements above the fold. → Action-focused CTA that tells users exactly what’s next. → A layout where everything is clear at a glance. 👉 Here’s the truth: You don’t need a site that “looks good.” You need a site that works hard. Clarity > Fluff Results > Buzzwords One strong landing page > 6 empty ones If your hero section doesn’t convert, neither does your website. And that silence?
