#FutureLondon. Striking glass skyscraper crowned with a sculptural top planned for London. ✔️ A new landmark for the City of London is proposed for 130 Fenchurch Street Set to feature a 34-storey, 479ft skyscraper that will reshape London’s skyline. Designed by WilkinsonEyre, the new tower would replace the mid-century Fountain House, one of the Square Mile’s first “podium and tower” buildings built after the Blitz. A planning application was submitted to the City of London earlier this year. The proposal sets a new benchmark for sustainability and wellbeing-led design: • 600,000 sq ft of flexible, Grade-A office space to meet the City Plan 2040’s demand for next-generation workplaces. • A public cultural space on level 17 and a public viewing gallery with a green terrace on level 20. • Ground-floor food & beverage • A design shaped by two rounds of public consultation and guided by whole-life carbon principles, with reuse of materials wherever feasible. Demolition of the existing building is targeted for 2026 and completion in 2030.
