Calling academics and researchers! The National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) and UK Home Office have this week published the attached “Economic Crime Areas of Research Interest” which sets out key areas where further research would be particularly beneficial to support effective policy and law enforcement responses to tackling Economic Crime. Potential research questions in the document cover money laundering, fraud and corruption as well as some cross-cutting themes. Ultimately our actions to tackle these threats will impact many people in the UK and abroad who are affected by economic crime, and fighting it carries benefits to the UK and global economy as a whole. We are very keen to hear from the academic and external research community about any research proposals that align with the themes in this publication.
