    The Fore is a seed funder for the charity sector – unlocking 21st century solutions to society’s greatest challenges. It uses a venture capital-style approach that opens up access to funding and professional expertise to innovative small charities and social enterprises. The Fore brings together businesses, funders and social entrepreneurs to support and scale fresh solutions to pressing issues including knife crime, childhood obesity, social isolation, food poverty and homelessness.

    As a Corporate Member, I joined The Fore’s funding panels, where I heard pitches from high-potential charities and social enterprises seeking grants. My expertise was called upon to assess the impact of charitable ventures and, alongside other members of the panels, to decide which organisations were best-placed to receive funding.

  • The robotic PCP

    Successfully took the robotic PCP cabinet concept to the BT Challenge Cup Final in 2015 with completion of the 'Blue Ribbon' (sign off of the concept) in Feb 2016. The Robotic cabinet with revolutionise the way Openreach works, delivering to the customer faster with significant improvements in the management of our network.

    This project involved the whole scale review of the British Army's ability to conduct the initial training of its Reserve Forces, which the British Government has identified as a national priority. Specifically, the project involved:

    Leading a team of highly experienced and competent staff to solving a difficult challenge
    Established the statement of training requirement
    The HR requirements needed to achieve the required trained output (in terms of quality and quantity)…

  • 2 Rifles Homecoming Media Plan

    Planned and executed the media programme for 2 Rifles' return from Sangin, Afghanistan in 2009. The operational tour was very much in the media's eye due to the challenges of the operational tour in which many soldiers lost their lives. The programme required sensitivity when dealing with wounded servicemen and their families whilst also promoting the MoD's message and to achieve 2 Rifles strategic communications goal of highlighting the success of British operations in Afghanistan.

    The programme dealt with many media outlets, including Sky News, The Times and the Sun as well as new media outlets. It also included arrangements with media and government organisations for the two homecoming parades (Croydon and Liverpool) which were major successes and maintained the excellent reputation of 2 Rifles.
