Overview: Face Recognition
8D-THERMO CAM Our goal is to develop the theoretical framework and computational tools that will lead to a practical, unobtrusive, and accurate user authentication identification system. Specifically, we propose to use both a compact confidence-annotated representation of the 3D facial shape and facial vasculature as a biometric signature. Our innovative research expands the focus from 2D imaging to confidence-annotated 3D geometry and from appearance in the visible spectrum band to physiological characteristics in the thermal infrared band.
