South Magnetic Pole Centenary Flyover
The Royal Society of Victoria is seeking to finalise plans for a flyover of the
South Magnetic Pole, Antarctica on Saturday 17 January 2009, 100 years to the day that
it was first located by a party of Australians including Douglas Mawson.

The Burke and Wills Expedition Re-visited
The President of the RSV, Professor Graham Burrows, announced
that the Society has initiated moves to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Burke
and Wills Expedition in August 2010, with the establishment of an Anniversary Advisory
Committee.
