Biography

Finished his career at Arizona with 25½ sacks, second in school history behind only Tedy Bruschi (52, 1992-95).
Led the Pac-10 in sacks in 2010 with 11, giving him 21½ over his final two seasons.
Became the first player drafted by the Packers from Arizona since S Chuck Cecil (fourth round, 1988).
Has a twin brother, Cory, who also played football at Arizona before a medical condition forced him to leave the team.

CAREER: Productive defensive end who finished his career at Arizona with 25½ sacks, second in school history behind only Tedy Bruschi (52, 1992-95)…Recorded 21½ of those sacks over his final two seasons, leading the Pacific-10 Conference as a senior with 11 to earn second-team all-league honors…Played in 51 games, starting 36 and posting 128 tackles (76 solo), 33½ of them for loss…Also had one interception, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and four deflected passes…Finished his career at the East-West Shrine Game, where he showed the first steps toward making the transition to outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme…Played on an Arizona defensive line that included two other draft picks – Brooks Reed (second round, Texans) and D’Aundre Reed (seventh round, Vikings)…Was the third of the Packers’ three sixth-round draft picks, the 197th pick overall…Became the first player drafted by the Packers from Arizona since safety Chuck Cecil (fourth round, 1988)...Earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

2010: Started all 13 games and was named second-team All-Pac-10…Posted career highs in tackles with 49 (31 solo), sacks with 11 (for minus-67 yards) and tackles for loss with 13 (for minus-70)…Sack total led the Pac-10 and tied for ninth in the nation…Had four multi-sack games and was named to the Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award watch list…Also forced a fumble and returned a kickoff for 1 yard…Vs. Iowa (Sept. 18): Had 1½ sacks…Vs. California (Sept. 25): Matched his career high with eight tackles…Vs. Oregon State (Oct. 9): Posted two sacks…At Washington State (Oct. 16): Among six tackles, had 2½ sacks…Vs. Arizona State (Dec. 2): Had a career-high three sacks and matched his career high with eight tackles (six solo).

2009: Started all 13 games and was named honorable mention All-Pac-10…Posted 44 tackles (25 solo), including 10½ sacks (for minus-62) among 11½ tackles for loss (for minus-64)…Had three two-sack games…Also had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a deflected pass…At Iowa (Sept. 19): Had a season- and career-high eight tackles, plus 1½ sacks…At Oregon State (Sept. 26): Recorded two sacks…Vs. Washington State (Nov. 7): Registered two sacks…At Arizona State (Nov. 28): Recorded two sacks, forced a fumble and deflected a pass.

2008: Played in 13 games with 10 starts and compiled 25 tackles (13 solo)…Ranked second on the team with four sacks (for minus-34) and was third on the team with eight tackles for loss (for minus-58)…Also had one INT, one forced fumble and one deflected pass…At New Mexico (Sept. 13): Recorded his first two collegiate sacks…At Stanford (Oct. 11): Got his one and only career INT off a tipped ball…At Washington State (Nov. 8): Notched a sack for a 14-yard loss and a forced fumble.

2007: Played in 12 games and recorded 10 tackles (six solo), with 1½ for loss totaling 4 yards…Also deflected one pass.

2006: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley, Calif., a school that began at the eight-man football level in 2002 and ascended three divisions during Elmore’s time there…Named a first-team all-state small-school selection by Cal-Hi Sports, a SuperPrep All-Far West pick, a first-team All-Ventura County pick by the Ventura County Star, and the county small-school defensive lineman of the year…As a senior, led the Lancers to an 11-3 record, recording 80 tackles with 15 sacks and 11 blocked kicks…As a junior, had 51 tackles, 11 sacks, an INT, three fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks…Also played TE and filled in at QB, posting the following offensive stats: 26 carries, 84 yards, three TDs; 14 receptions, 192 yards, four TDs; 12-of-31 passing, 356 yards, three INTs, two TDs...Lettered two years in basketball and volleyball.
