Harsimrat Kaur Badal - Efficient Politician & Leader

Harsimrat Kaur Badal has worked for developing and promoting education in Punjab as she successfully upgraded campuses, classrooms, and infrastructure for hundreds of schools in her constituency. In addition, she has established various Technical Universities including Central University of Punjab, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab University.

Looking at the health sector, Harsimrat's persistence in Malwa has led to the foundation of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences currently being built, which in 2020 will provide quality healthcare to the residents of Malwa. In addition, Harsimrat Kaur Badal has upgraded hundreds of hospitals and advanced cancer research in Bathinda.

'Industry and urban development' have not been left untouched from experiencing her extraordinary mind and leadership skills. Upgrading of infrastructure, such as the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery has also been facilitated by Harsimrat Kaur Badal, as well as thermal and Ethanol plants in her region. Furthermore, Shatabdi train service from Bathinda to Delhi has been started, ROB/RUB and railway lines constructed, and hundreds of kms of road links have been established.

'Agriculture and food world India', is another sector to which she has contributed and the quality of life of citizens has improved. Here, Better water supply and sanitary conditions have been a priority and therefore the results have been so fruitful. Gyms, toilets, and water channels have been constructed for the welfare of citizens. Canal outlets and irrigation streams have been constructed in areas requiring water flow for fields.

Operation Greens

• Launched in November 2018 for integrated development of Tomato, Onion and Potato (TOP) value chain and 3 Proposals sanctions

World Food India - MoUs worth USD 14 Billion signed. Grounding started in projects worth USD 11 Billion.

Several new initiatives including on-line filing of applications and enhanced transparency, 100% FDI in trading of Indian food products, and priority-sector lending, Harsimrat Kaur Badal has managed to improve the infrastructure for food processing in the country and especially in her state PUNJAB.

A new central sector scheme

SAMPADA (Scheme for Agro - Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters) has been approved by CCEA on 03.05.2017 with a budget allocation of Rs. 6,000 crores for implementation during the period 2016-20

Research and development

20 Food laboratories notified by FSSAI 20 Labs NABL accredited and a stunning 36 projects completed, 41 new projects have been approved and 31 units to be certified for HACCP/ISO certification has also been assisted
