2024-10-07: ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research and Applications (ETRA) 2024 Trip Report

  The ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research & Applications (ETRA) 2024 was a hybrid conference with the in-person event at the  Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel , Glasgow, UK, and virtual attendees joining via  Webex Events . The conference took place from June 4 to June 7, 2024. We ( Yasasi  and  Gavindya ) attended the paper sessions and keynotes of the conference virtually. ETRA symposium focuses on all aspects of eye movement research across a wide range of disciplines and brings together computer scientists, engineers, and behavioral scientists to enhance eye-tracking research and applications.  This year,   Yasasi  from ODU  served on the organizing committee of the ETRA conference as the publicity chair .  🎉 #ETRA2024 kicks off today at #Glasglow ! The 15th Annual ACM Symposium of Eye Tracking Research & Applications (ETRA 2023) was a fully hybrid conference, with the in-person event at the University of Tübingen , Germany, and virtual attendees joining via Webex Events . ETRA 2023 conference took place from May 30 to June 2, 2023. We ( Yasasi and Gavindya ) attended the conference in person and virtually. ETRA brings together computer scientists, engineers, and behavioral scientists for enhancing eye-tracking research and applications. This year, 13 full papers were presented at ETRA 2023 and published in the Proceedings of the ACM on Human-Computer Interaction (PACMHCI). In addition, 23 short papers were accepted and presented in the poster sessions at ETRA 2023. 2023-04-28: The Governor’s STEM Academy at Grassfield High School's Visit to ODU Computer Science Department

Dr. Sampath Jayarathna welcoming the students of Governor’s STEM Academy to ODU Computer Science Department On March 16th, 9th Graders from Grassfield High School Governor’s STEM academy visited ODU Computer Science Department . The Governor’s STEM Academy operates as a school-within-a-school and features a cutting-edge curriculum especially designed for students with an interest in STEM careers, and is located in Chesapeake, VA.
