"the best programming book of all time"
In college had a CS professor once say "this was the best programming book of all time." ... Funny considering he taught out of one of the text books he wrote

The best algorithm and data structures book I've ever read.

An old classic, a good introduction for Pascal programmers. If you are not a Pascal junkie, Wirth's Modula-2 version is better, (supplemented with Compiler Construction, as the compiler introduction is not in the M2 version).

Great book, and the book store I ordered from seems to have good people :) and it came quickly and despite being used, seems brand new

If you teach or write about computer science, you will end up collecting the pivotal works. Touching the real thing is so much better than using the reprints.

The book is marked as in good quality. The dust jacket is a little messed up and there is some water stains on the inside, but the binding is solid and the pages are all in great condition. I would definitely buy another book from them.

    Thanks!

Excellent, the best first book on this subject (I am a specialist of this field.) , especially the last chapter, which, in just one chapter, shows how a working compiler can be this concise (in 400 lines).

5.0 out of 5 stars Fondamentale per qualunque informatico
Reviewed in Italy on August 26, 2020
    Format: HardcoverVerified Purchase
    1. Fundamental Data Structures
    2. Sorting
    3. Recursive Algorithms
    4. Dynamic Information Structures
    5. Language Structures and Compilers

My previous copy went AWOL during a house move. This one is a keenly-priced Indian edition. Excellent value for what, IMO, is one of the great classic programming textbooks.
