Thanks for the cogent analysis. It took thousands of years for banking systems to develop to the current point, balancing the many competing real work factors. "The Establishment" doesn't work perfectly for everyone, and for some people not well at all, but it does work remarkably well on balance.

New solutions to problems tend to flourish in limited contexts and then, perhaps, over time evolve to work in larger domains. In the cryptocurrency case, though, the domain is sort of inherently "all of economics".
