Numbers don’t tell the whole story, but they do hold some of the most important parts of history. They capture discoveries, disasters, reigns, and revolutions – little snapshots of everything people have done, built, or changed over time.

In this quiz, those numbers take center stage. You’ll get 25 moments in history – your job is to type in the right numbers.

A couple of the questions need to be more specific. The number of main powers in WWII is not the same thing as the number of major alliances. The Giza complex question only asked how many pyramids it contained but the answer only counted the large pyramids.

The Magna Carta wasn’t signed. In fact none of the Magnae Cartae were signed. They were sealed.

The eastern roman empire lasted longer, there were 2 ALLIANCES in WW2 (5 super powers as individual nations) , Penecilin was discovered to be an antibiotic before Flemming rediscovered it

How do you get to 5? I get 7 (more if you separate out different nations in the British Empire). British Empire, France, United States, Soviet Union, Germany, Italy, Japan.
