Built in 1905, this building is considered to be one of three stately private mansions located at Guia Hill during the time. It once belonged to Manuel da Silva Mendes, a renowned writer-cum-art-collector in Macao, who donated part of his collections to the former Luís de Camões Museum. The mansion was later sold and used for other purpose.
