Randy does have a bugreport i think in the bug DB
(i don't have the link here)

There is i believe an attachement with the latest src/binary for 2.1

when i move on to the 2.2 (or is it 3.0) stream i will try to keep the
patch in synch with the integration builds i use.

I think it is Bugzilla Bug 22633:
[Workbench] Move (or insert) the perspective toolbar to the "normal" toolbar

As with the patch being so useful I really was expecting this feature to
be available as a preference quite soon. But now I see that the last
comment on this Bug id has been made almost a year ago. Status ist
"assigned", but priority is P5 :-(
I was even the first one to vote for that bug, although I think this is
one of the most important feature for people having a small screen (e.g.
15" LCD).

Randy's patch also contains other features I don't like, so I don't want
to install it completely. Can anybody tell me if it is possible to just
install the toolbar part of that patch?

I moved to the 3.0 stream now and i will "port" the patch
to that stream.

I still can't believe that it is still not implemented or even
a priority. For 90% of the users it will be an improvement
And to make it a preference is also very easy (already done this)

Please vote for this bug, maybe it will be seen then.

Randy's patch is pretty big. Why not split it up and submit a patch for each
individual piece of extra functionality? For example, under this bug, number
22633, there is no patch submitted to implement it, however we know it's
there somewhere in the 'RandyPatch'.
