On 4 November 2025, the JURI committee will hold two public hearings focusing, on the one hand, on the European Cross-Border Association: Legal Foundations and Civil Society Impact, and on the other hand, on improving gender diversity in the IP sector. The Committee will also hear on the reporting back by JURI Members attending the Plenary meetings held by the Observatory on infringements of intellectual property rights, which took place at the EUIPO on 30 September - 1 October 2025.
On 20 October 2025, the JURI committee held a joint extraordinary meeting with the Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) in Strasbourg. On this occasion, the Members of both committees held an exchange of views on the protection of lawyers worldwide, with a focus on the recently adopted Council of Europe Convention for the Protection of the Profession of Lawyer. JURI-DROI Members heard, among other speakers, the testimony by Ramla Dahmani on Tunisian lawyer Sonia Dahmani.
On 13 October, the JURI committee considered amendments to the draft reports on copyright and generative artificial intelligence – opportunities and challenges (2025/2058(INI)) and on the 28th Regime: a new legal framework for innovative companies (2025/2079(INL)).

The European Parliament Coordinator on children’s rights
Guided by the "best interest of the child" principle, the Coordinator works to ensure the promotion and protection of children's rights in all EU policies and legislation. She seeks to assist citizens experiencing parental child abduction and other cross-border family disputes. She advocates closer collaboration with the judicial and administrative bodies and seeks to promote mediation in cross-border family matters.
