Commissioner Tzitzikostas in the framework of the Structured Dialogue, on Wednesday 19 February updated the TRAN Committee on the latest and upcoming transport-related proposals. The Commissioner discussed with TRAN members the implications of the just published 2025 Commission Work Programme for transport policies. On 29 January 2025 the TRAN Committee welcomed the Polish Presidency: Mr Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure and Mr Piotr Borys, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism presented to the Members the priorities of the Polish Presidency in the field of transport and tourism. This study offers a comprehensive overview of silver tourism in the EU, detailing the sector’s current state and otential growth opportunities. It establishes a conceptual framework that categorises key areas within silver tourism and examines specific challenges and opportunities within each. The study concludes with targeted recommendations to address these challenges.

In the meeting on 29 January 2025, the Commission made a presentation of the implementation of the targets set for electric recharging infrastructure Regulation (EU) 2023/1804.
