On 5 November 2025, the Budgetary Control Committee will hold a hearing and vote on the nominations of Mr Nikolaos Milionis as the Greek Member, and Mr Pierre Moskovici as the French Member of the European Court of Auditors (ECA).

On 5 - 6 November 2025, the Committee on Budgetary Control will hold three hearings for the 2024 Commission discharge related to the implementation of the EU Budget and of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), with two Executive Vice-Presidents and five Commissioners invited.

On 6 November 2025, the Committee on Budgetary Control will hold discharge hearings with the Secretary Generals and/or Directors of the Other Institutions and Bodies (except EEAS), in the presence of ECA reporting Member Ildikó Gáll-Pelcz.

On 16 October 2025, Jorg Kristijan Petrovič, reporting Member of the European Court of Auditors, presented the ECA Special report 18/2025 "EU budget flexibility – Allowed unforeseen challenges to be addressed, but the framework is too complex" to BUDG and CONT Members.

On 16 October 2025, the study ''Smart conditionality in practice: exploring legality, feasibility and implementation'' was presented to BUDG and CONT Members by the authors Eulalia RUBIO and Cinzia ALCIDI, from the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS).

On 16 October 2025, CONT Committee held an exchange of views with Angelo Maria Quaglini, Chair of the OLAF Supervisory Committee, on their Annual Activity Report 2024. There was also an exchange of views with Julia Laffranque, Controller of procedural guarantees, who presented her annual report.

On 16 October 2025, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control voted on the CONT own-initiative report on the 2024 budget – assessing the implementation of the gender mainstreaming methodology in the EU budget.

On 9 October 2025, the CONT Committee held a discharge hearing with the Commissioner Piotr Serafin, responsible for Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration. Commissioner Serafin presented the Commission's Integrated Financial and Accountability Reporting package for 2024.

On 9 October 2025, Tony Murphy, President of the European Court of Auditors (ECA), presented the main conclusions of the annual report of the Court on the implementation of the EU budget for the 2024 financial year to CONT Members. Commissioner Piotr Serafin, responsible for Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration, and Jan Gregor, ECA reporting Member, were also be present.
