STOA-ERC event: From Science to Policy: Shaping a Sustainable and Competitive Europe

This event, organised jointly by STOA and the European Research Council (ERC), will explore the critical role of research in addressing the urgent transformations needed to tackle climate change and social inequality.

The event will delve into the essential conditions that enable fair and inclusive green transitions and the Clean Industrial Deal, an ambitious European Commission initiative aimed at decarbonising EU industry while boosting competitiveness and ensuring energy affordability for all.

Researchers, Members of the European Parliament and stakeholders will share insights on integrating science into policymaking to drive a sustainable future.

The event features 3 thematic sessions:

1. Rethinking Growth and Prosperity

2. Clean and Sustainable Energy

3. Water Resilience

This will be an in-person event with web-streaming available.

The event will be organised in English, without interpretation.
