On 25 June 2025 at 15:15, Parliament's two co-rapporteurs on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), Carla Tavares (S&D, PT) and Siegfried Mureșan (EPP, RO) will participate in a policy roundtable on "The next EU long-term budget: Spending challenges and revenue options". They will be joined by Eulalia Rubio of the Jacques Delors Institute in Paris to discuss, which policy challenges the next MFF will have to finance, such as security and defence, support for Ukraine, competitiveness and the repayment of NGEU-related debt. Furthermore, they will discuss whether we need new own resources and more debt to finance the next MFF?
