The session opened on EP-Rada parliamentary cooperation, followed by the Chair of the Rada Committee presenting the war's devastating impact on Ukrainian education: 4,000 institutions damaged, nearly 400 destroyed, and daily air raid alerts leading to underground schools. Despite this, Ukraine has adopted 29 laws to ensure access to education, protect citizens' rights in occupied areas, and train specialists for recovery, while calling for international support for shelters, school buses, and online learning devices.

MEPs expressed admiration and support, reaffirming the EU's commitment and calling for closer cultural and educational cooperation, particularly via Erasmus+, to secure a better future for Ukraine's children.
