How do I create a BioPreferred report?


NOTE: Before you can create a BioPreferred report in SAM.gov, the following conditions must be met:

Enter Report Details

  1. Choose a contract that requires BioPreferred reporting.
  2. Select Add USDA Category.
  3. Choose the appropriate Category and Product from the dropdown.
  4. Enter the Total Dollar Amount Spent for that product during the federal fiscal year (Oct 1 – Sept 30).
  5. Click Submit to save the report.

NOTE: You may add multiple products per contract if applicable.

What Counts as a BioPreferred Product?

Use the official USDA BioPreferred Catalog to determine eligible product categories and types.
Only purchases of designated USDA categories should be included in the report.
