One thing to keep in mind while trying to be authentic, is that you are trying to engage with other HUMANS. We are all human. Yes, we may have different hobbies, different family structures, work different jobs, and come from different backgrounds. BUT, we are all humans. We all have similar struggles. We have similar wants and needs in business and in life. Connect by being YOU. Engage by being mindful, and real. Real is relatable. Contact A does not need the same engagement as Contact B. Ask good open-ended questions to learn. Then shut up and listen with an open mind. Care about opinions of others, while sharing your own opinion in a respectful way. Curate content that is genuine to you, but appealing to others in your network.
