As we all know fleet operation is one of the critical part in the supply chain. There will not be any separate training session, break or team outing happens at the ground level. The team should be pro active and has to follow the standard process throughout the year. 1. training/awareness on a regular basis and it would go parallel along with the day to day operations. 2. all the stakeholders should have necessary accidental insurance, health insurance and a safety net for their family irrespective of their hierarchy. 3. routine vehicle maintenance should be done to avoid breakdown. 4. regular feedback sessions from the team, evaluation, performance based reward, incentive programs should run throughout the year to motivate the ops team.

In addition to these three topics, we need to reinforce also the basic conditions of the park structure, especially when we talk about a fleet operation with hundreds and thousands of vehicles being managed to be shipped. It helps the opertators and drivers to follow the signs and rules, ensuring safety.

you first have to create a culture of safety. then you have to teach and enforce that culture daily. Another thing that you have to do is properly maintain your equipment. Improperly maintained equipment leads to slowdowns and accidents

In fleet operations, safety isn’t just about reacting to risks—it’s about anticipating them. Here’s few strategies i utilize to ensure safety while staying efficient: 1. Proactive Maintenance Plans: Instead of reacting to breakdowns, map out maintenance schedules well in advance to keep vehicles road-ready and reduce downtime. 2. On-Demand Fleet Readiness: Always have standby vehicles available to support operations during repairs or high-demand periods, ensuring zero disruption. 3. Crisis Simulations: Regularly simulate unexpected scenarios, from breakdowns to emergencies, to prepare teams for quick, coordinated responses. Safety is as much about preparation as it is about execution.
