    Preventive maintenance should exist in system of operation to avoid unnecessary breakdown. Use multiple supplier delivery to avoid unnecessary delay in receiving necessary parts. Train manpower so that they will be able in doing manual override and temporary fixes for critical and urgent process .

    Es muy importante tener sistemas de monitoreo redundantes en los sistemas. Quizás alguno no sea todo lo exhaustivo del principal pero si capaz de detectar y enviar alarmas y anomalías en la operación. Asimismo la conectividad debe ser variada para garantizar la continuidad del monitoreo cuando falla una vía de comunicación. Tener personal de mantenimiento dedicado no solo para trabajos en campo sino para estar al tanto de los monitoreos. Y por supuesto realizar el mantenimiento preventivo sin dilaciones, tanto el recomendado por el fabricante y normas como el que resulte de notificaciones y alarmas no vinculadas a fallos.

    La eficiencia de un proceso o máquina se puede medir gracias al monitoreo de variables clave KPI, identificandolas y midiendolas en diferentes circunstancias pueden darse indicadores sobre como debe ser el comportamiento normal de producción en condiciones optimas, cuando estos empiezan a desviarse entonces se deben evaluar las causas probables. En el ejemplo se antecede que las causas de los bajos rendimientos se deben a falta de mantenimiento, por tanto se deben evaluar según los planes de mantenimiento que tiene la máquina o proceso, cuales son esas falencias, sin embargo pueden haber muchas causas imprevistas, por tanto es necesario siempre estar innovando y mejorando los equipos para ir logrando cada vez mejores resultados finales.
