A checklist. Whether it's on paper, a spreadsheet, or specialized software - breaking things into pieces so that you can always see what needs to be done at a glance will help get through the most complicated of projects and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Call me old-school, but I prefer pen and paper. Write out a to-do list in the morning, almost like your own personal status meeting. And then enjoy the tactile feeling of pen to paper box checking as you work through your list. I would be remiss if I didn't add that your list will grow throughout the day. Annnd you'll be rewriting some tasks into the following days to-do's. Wait, are we talking about managing work stress? Hah, good luck, hope this helps!

A checklist with deadlines and deliverables are my friends even way back in college. There is certain magic after checking off something in your list and it boosts you to get started on the next one. Sort of like gamifying your to dos like game questing. Project Management Tools are great for big teams but for individuals notepad/planner/spreadsheets can work :D Then when you hit a roadblock in any of your "Quests"make sure to communicate it early and set expectations especially if timelines needs to shift.
