Innovation in early cancer detection is transforming healthcare. Our client, Astrin Biosciences, is leading this shift with a new approach designed to detect breast cancer earlier — particularly in women with dense breast tissue. In this STAT piece, Astrin’s CEO, Jayant Parthasarathy and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Badrinath Konety, discuss how deep proteomics and AI are paving the way for more accurate, accessible screening. Breast cancer screenings are meant to bring clarity, not confusion. For women with dense breast tissue, mammograms can sometimes leave more questions than answers. At Astrin, we’re pioneering a new approach — using deep proteomics and AI to detect early signs of cancer through a simple blood test, designed to bring greater accuracy and confidence to every screening experience. Our CEO, Jayant Parthasarathy, and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Badrinath Konety, share this vision in their new piece for STAT. This October, we are proud to celebrate 40 years of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth with our clients at the American Cancer Society. What began as a week-long effort to educate women about early screening has turned into a global movement, saving over half a million lives since 1985 through better treatments and proactive screenings. Last week, ACS Chief Patient Officer Arif Kamal MD, MBA, MHS joined PBS News to mark this milestone and highlight the significance of the number 40: ➡️ Breast cancer mortality is down more than 40% ➡️ 40 is the age when women should start talking to their doctor about getting a mammogram We are incredibly proud to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. https://lnkd.in/eYxJJVM8

Dr. Badrinath Konety, Chief Medical Officer at Astrin Biosciences, is at the forefront of advancing breast cancer detection to better support women with dense breast tissue, a common condition that can obscure tumors on mammograms. Dense tissue, which appears white on a mammogram just like tumors, makes it “like spotting a snowball in a snowstorm,” says Dr. Konety. To address this, Astrin Biosciences is developing a blood test designed to catch cancers traditional screenings may miss, especially in women with dense breasts. In a recent New York Post article, Dr. Konety explains the limitations of current screening methods and how innovative diagnostics like Astrin’s blood test are paving the way for earlier and more accurate detection: https://lnkd.in/erBdzX5r

This #WorldDenseBreastDay, Astrin Biosciences is spreading awareness on what dense breasts are and what it means for your cancer screening. Mammograms are the standard of care, but for some, supplemental screening may be needed. Astrin is working to create an option that is not reliant on imaging to find breast cancer across all breast densities faster and more accurately. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act permanently allows high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) to cover telehealth services before deductibles are met — expanding access to care for those facing financial and geographic barriers. In this Employee Benefit News piece, Caroline Savello, President of Color Health, dives deep into what this means for employers rethinking cancer care strategies. “Telehealth-enabled cancer care isn't a stopgap. It's a practical, scalable approach that employers can use to take control of cancer with more available, utilized and cost-effective care.” Read the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/g-g6qfkY
