Achieving spectrum parity requires fighting fire with fire.
Achieving spectrum dominance requires eliminating the real targets, not just their proxies.
Introducing Vadris, an RF-seeking payload for FPV drones that locates the operator, the source of the threat. In active testing and development with the U.S. military.
It detects and characterizes control signals in real time and overlays a live line-of-bearing onto the pilot’s FPV feed, guiding units toward the emitter for visual confirmation and response.
Built for COTS Group 1 drones. Attritable. NDAA-compliant.

Apollo Global Management, Inc. and 8VC are joining forces to accelerate America’s Industrial Renaissance.
We’re combining flexible capital, hard-won industry knowhow, and a shared vision for U.S. reindustrialization and renewal.
This vision is only possible thanks to the founders and builders who are fearlessly reshaping critical industries: biotech, energy, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, life sciences, logistics, and many more. These transformations require new ways of working together—and investment capital is no exception.
Historically, early-stage VC and multi-trillion-dollar private credit markets have been separate worlds. By aligning Apollo’s long-term, creative, asset-backed capital solutions with 8VC’s experience backing and building transformative companies, we can cross this divide, and ensure a prosperous, resilient, and positive-sum future.

Humans invented software to free ourselves from manual work. Somehow, we still waste billions of hours clicking across websites.
Today, Kaizen launches to fulfill that original promise.
Announcing our $4M raise from 8VC and the public launch of the Kaizen platform.
Manual data entry, copy and pasting, text reformatting, and “daily uploads” have no place in modern software. Yet, in the most critical sectors of the economy (healthcare, logistics, finance) it’s all that’s done.
Lackluster integrations, cumbersome UIs, and unstructured data processes subject millions to billions of menial tasks.
I experienced this firsthand at TruckSmarter, where too often, the primary bottleneck to full automation was a long tail of manual work across sprawling websites.
We built Kaizen to free humanity from repetitive tasks all too common in cloud software. In Kaizen, operators describe a task they’d like to complete to generate an automation they can run reliably millions of times.
Kaizen is deployed across public companies, healthcare organizations with 1,000 clinicians, and vertical software juggernauts like Augment and Assort Health. In the last month, we’ve 4x’ed the number of workflows we execute daily. We’re only just getting started.
Michael Silver and I built Kaizen to solve the interoperability crisis that plagues the world’s largest industries. Healthcare is our fastest growing vertical, where we’ve fully automated patient intake, benefits verification, prior authorization, provider credentialing, and much much more.
We’ve raised $4M from 8VC with participation from Y Combinator, Jeff Dean, Matteo Franceschetti and Calvin French-Owen.
I’d also love to thank our earliest supporters, including JJ FliegelmanRichard AbermanKulveer TaggarCoyne LloydJason LiuKatie SiegelMax KolyshSara DuMichelle Lim, for all you’ve done to help us get to where we are today.
Today, Kaizen is generally available on our website (link below in comments)! We can’t wait to see what you’ll never have to do again.
CX2 Co-founder & CEO/Founder Mode in Deep Tech and Defense
Hey everyone, Monday marks a major step for CX2, and for what we’ve been building toward: giving operators the tools to dominate the electromagnetic spectrum. We’ll share the full announcement in The Spectrum Imperative, along with the story behind it and where we’re headed next.
AI is one of the few potential deflationary forces in healthcare, a sector that badly needs costs contained and access improved.
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) directs over $1.9T in annual spending through Medicare and Medicaid. How will CMS promote innovation? What role will AI play? What problems have been solved and what barriers are on the horizon? And what role does the SF tech ecosystem have to play?
Join me for a fireside chat with Abe Sutton, Director of the CMS Innovation Center, on November 4th at the 8VC office.

We’re announcing $6M+ in funding co-led by 8VC and Slow Ventures, with participation from Guillermo Rauch, and the launch of MeritFirst. My partners Joe Lonsdale, Drew Oetting, Sam Lessin, and I are committed to this mission: opportunity promised, outcomes earned.
That’s what the American Dream originally meant: broad, equal access to meaningful opportunity, with merit determining advancement. Our country needs that today.
We’ve been heads‑down laying the foundation for something we believe needs to exist in the world: a platform where people can demonstrate real capability, not just credentials.
Hiring is in rough shape. Proxies (schools, logos, buzzwords) drown out signal. Great people get filtered out; companies miss out and the world is worse off for it.
We’re building a skills‑first platform that gives every candidate a real shot to demonstrate capability and helps teams evaluate consistently, fairly, and fast.
Our promise to candidates: you deserve a fair chance to compete, irrespective of background - where the effort you put in goes further and opens more doors.
Our promise to companies: stronger signal, faster cycles, better teams, happier customers.
America thrives when merit does. We’re here to keep the American Dream alive.
Thank you to our early partners and all of those who have supported our mission from the start. Back to work!

Talent is destiny. We’ve seen it building companies like Palantir Technologies and Addepar, and backing many more.
Unfortunately, hiring often favors outdated credentials over the ability to do the job, depriving employers of great people who don’t fit the mold, and vice versa.
What’s needed isn’t just a mindset shift—it’s infrastructure for auditable, dynamic assessments that solve for the ability to do the work, and let companies get back to doing it.
We’re partnering with Sam Lessin and Zack Ganieany to build MeritFirst: adaptable work samples that measure core abilities like planning, problem solving, etc, and role-based skillsets. The more companies and candidates participate, the more efficiently talent and opportunity come together.
Today, MeritFirst announced its $6mm seed funding, co-led by 8VC and Slow Ventures with participation from Guillermo Rauch. In our latest blog, Drew Oetting, Joe Lonsdale, and Gabe Rosen reflect on the promise of meritocracy at scale:

This round builds on a groundswell of early customer enthusiasm, and will support deeper simulations, expanded roles, and new programs and partnerships. On that note, the 2026 8VC Engineering Fellowship, now utilizing MeritFirst, is live!
