This summer, GEM Fellows Faith Baca, Christina Chance, and Reuben Luera joined Adobe Research as interns, and found more than hands-on innovation — they found community, mentorship, and purpose. Through projects advancing AI research, they explored topics like bias in AI systems, inclusive persona design, and how AI can evaluate user interfaces. Adobe has proudly partnered with the National GEM Consortium since 2012, sponsoring over 100 Fellows to help build talent pipelines in STEM and create pathways into research and industry careers. If you’re a student pursuing a graduate degree in STEM, don’t miss your chance to apply for a GEM Fellowship by November 14. 🔗 Learn more about the program and this year’s Fellows: https://adobe.ly/3LMZXYN #AdobeLife #Interns

Adaptability has always been essential — but in today's AI era, it’s everything. I sat down with Linkedin News to talk about why curiosity, learning, and openness to change are the superpowers in today’s world. If you’re navigating change or helping others through it, I hope this conversation resonates with you. I would love to hear about the ways you're experimenting or trying to learn more.
Technology isn't slowing down and neither can we. That's why Stacy Martinet, Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Adobe, believes adaptability is the most essential career skill for the AI era — and beyond. "The technology will keep changing," Stacy says. "People who embrace technology and people who embrace AI are gonna go farther than those who don't." Stacy's no stranger to major digital transformations. She's spent her career at the intersection of marketing, media, and technology; from pioneering The New York Time's social media strategy to now guiding Adobe’s global communications in the AI era. So what does it take to stay ahead of the curve? Here’s Stacy's advice: 🧬 Make learning part of your career DNA. Curiosity and adaptability are now competitive advantages. 📚 Start small, but start now. One online course or certification can signal to employers that you have initiative and are open to change. ⚙️ Treat adaptability as a lifelong skill. AI is the tool of today, but technology will keep evolving and so should you. What's one way you’ve started building your AI or tech skills this year?

From prompt to pixel: How to harness AI-generation for game UI design. In our latest batch of client-powered creative experimentation, we blended human creativity with AI-powered tools to reimagine the user experience of the "Warcodes" app by game developer Emergent Worlds! Visual and interactive elements like the UI Menu Tab, User Tray, and Title Bar were all enhanced by hand after working through a new AI-assisted workflow. Using ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, and Scenario, we prototyped a process flow for supercharging visual concepts and exploring fresh ideas, while staying grounded in the game's core mythology and visual style. The process is all about unleashing a new creative process for our design team. 🛠️ Craft the Text Prompt Write a clear, detailed prompt describing the subject, style, mood, and composition you want! 🪄 Generate AI Design Elements In Adobe Firefly, an AI image generator, insert the text prompt and begin selecting your favorite generation of outputs. ☑️ Isolate your favorite Design Elements In Photoshop, collect and isolate the strongest generations (characters, objects, textures, backgrounds). 🖼️ Composite & Finalize Blend the AI-generated elements into a cohesive scene with the help of your image editor. Adjust lighting, color grading, and perspective for realism. Add polish with manual painting, effects, and finishing touches. We took the best of what AI offered and layered in custom design work from our beloved designers. The enhanced interface design elevated everything from the UI trays and map toggles to functional menus and custom iconography, creating a seamless and mythic user experience. The machine may be awake, but humans are still the ones who are dreaming up these ideas! #AIForDesign #AdobeFirefly #MobileGameDesign #GenerativeDesign #DesignWithAI #CreativeTech #GameUIUX #FutureOfGameplay
